Volcanoes
Facts:
1. Did you know that volcanoes are caused by the tectonic plates breaking apart from underground
to let the magma through.
2. It is impossible to tell when volcanoes are about to erupt.
3. When the volcano erupts the magma changes temperature and turns into lava.
4. After it erupts the lava flows down and bit by bit it turns into solid rock.
Some popular volcanoes are:
Mt St Helens
Krakatoa
Dimand Head
Kilauea

I like Aeroplane Jelly, Aeroplane Jelly for me.
I like it for dinner, I like it for tea,
A little each day is a good recipe!
The quality's high, as the name will imply,
It's made from pure fruit - one more good reason why
I like Aeroplane Jelly, Aeroplane Jelly for me!

Report on a Birds Nest - still working on it
Today Mr Benton came into our class with a birds nest, he found it where we found our pet rocks (in the car park). We put the birds nest on the science table. Then we started talked about how that clever bird is because it had put all the mud and sticks and grass on the nest all around it.
The bid that had the nest was a Mynah bird.
I think that it would be really hard for a little Mynah bird to make a nest like that. It's just really good!

Test Tube Alien
Annie opened the little lid thing.
We poured the water into the little half a cup thing.
Then we put in the power, then we stired it.
John poured in the water it started bubbling.
Then he poured in more and more then it stoped.
It looked all foggy, and then it started to hatch!
It is orange and green.
When it flashes red it means it is happy, when it is green it means it is drowning, when it is orange it means it is hungry.
150 ml to add to food mixture.

Slime make my lime
You can make your own cornflour slime to learn about fluids and viscosity. To do this experiment you will need: cornflour food colouring a small bowl water
What to do:
Pour some cornflour into a bowl.
Stir in small bits of water until the cornflour has become a very thick paste.
To make the slime the colour that you want it to be, stir really hard about five drops of food colouring into the mixture.
Stir your slime REALLY slowly.
This shouldn't be hard to do.
Stir your slime REALLY fast.
This should be almost impossible.
Now punch your slime REALLY hard and fast.
It should feel like you're punching a solid.
What's happening: Anything that flows is called a fluid. It means that both gases and liquids are fluids. Fluids like water which flow easily are said to have low viscosity, whereas fluids like cold honey which do not flow so easily are said to have a high viscosity.Cornflour slime is a special type of fluid that doesn't follow the usual rules of fluid behaviour. When something hard is on the slim to slime, its viscosity increases and the cornflour slime becomes thicker.
Low viscosity
Golden syrup
Honey
Lime Jam
Tomato sauce
Yoghurt
High viscosity
Coke
Tea
Water
Milk
Juice
From low viscosity to low viscosity
Chocolate
Butter
Ice cream
Ice block

Invisible ink
My list of invisible
Cola drink (diluted)
Honey (diluted)
Lemon,
Apple or orange juice
Milk
Onion juice
Soap water
Sugar solution
Vinegar
Some inks are developed by heat.
You could use a blow dryer and fan it over for thirty seconds. You could also use a mini heater and keep that going for thirty seconds. If you have a lot of candles in your house you could put the message over the top but not on the flame.
The best one that I think will work is the heater, because it has a good heat and I think it will work better than the other ones.
I predict that you will be able to see the message very clearly. I think that it will be a surprise to us all on what happens.
What happened:
First we got a bit of paper and drew five circles and painted all the liquids onto the paper. We cooked them in the oven for about two minutes and saw our results.
WARNING!
ADULTS MUST DO THE HEATING!
