Camping trip to Broken Hill

It was a 10 hour car trip to Broken Hill and Mickey couldn’t sleep at all. She was in the middle of her step brother Dave and her step sister Kelly. When her dad stopped for a rest she still couldn’t sleep because of her dad snoring!

They finally got there; it was cold and windy in Broken Hill. They waited to set up camp in a caravan park. Mickey was in a tent with Kelly, Evan was in a small tent by himself, her dad and step mum were in the camping trailer together and Dave was in a yellow and blue tent alone.

Everyone had a rest for a couple of hours, and then had lunch.

After lunch Mickey, Kelly and Evan went looking for something to do. They found a games room with a T.V and a kitchen where they could eat anything they wanted to!

Mickey’s step mum called them back for dinner; they had some chicken and vegetables. For desert they had one small piece of shortbread and went to sit down on the grass to tell campfire stories.

A week had gone and it was time to pack up and go home, it was a long trip home as was the one going there.
