Homework term 3 week 10

Story

One day there lived a young child who never smiled. Her name was Cherry. Cherry lived in a field filled with blue and purple flowers. She had a wonderful life, but never smiled.

Her father Tony normally says to his wife Linda, "Why doesn't our little girl ever smile? I raised her the right way didn't I?"
Linda always said, "Oh dear, there's nothing wrong with our little Cherry. She, well, she, umm..."
And that's when Tony said, "Why don't you go and talk to her. You know how she is with me, don't you."

So Linda went out to see what Cherry was doing and to talk to her. Cherry was in the field and making a Daisy chain. Her mother was sneaking up on her and trying not to be seen.

Cherry was smiling! Linda couldn't believe it! Linda was laughing and having a lovely time watching Cherry smile and laugh.

Then Cherry turned and looked at her mother smiling and watching her. Linda didn't know what to say when Cherry asked what she was doing here, Cherry was looking quite sad and upset.

Linda told Cherry why she was there, and explained everything. Cherry felt better. Now she knew why her mother was watching her have fun in the field.
