One day as Mrs. Diffle puts out a strawberry and chocolate cake with cream in the middle and cherries on top, on the table in the living room, she hears... thump, thump, thump.
It was the sound of a ball banging against the outside door. Mrs. Diffle jumped in shock and the cake flew straight into her face.
